An SDVOSB building a hospice partnership.
Vetted Care exists for one reason: to make sure the men and women who served are honored in how they receive hospice care at the end of life — through a partnership with a Medicare-certified hospice provider designed around the veteran experience.
An honest description.
Vetted Care is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business. It is the veteran-focused care line within VETTED, an SDVOSB-certified federal contracting company based in Southeast Michigan. Vetted Care is not itself a hospice. It does not hold a Michigan hospice license. It is not Medicare-certified.
Vetted Care is building a partnership with Lily Hospice — a Michigan-licensed, Medicare-certified, ACHC-accredited hospice provider — to deliver hospice care designed around the veteran experience to Southeast Michigan veterans. The partnership is in development. It is not yet operational. Clinical hospice care is not yet being delivered under the Vetted Care name.

Evan Shelline
Founder · Former U.S. Navy SEAL
Evan Shelline brings more than two decades of operational leadership to VETTED, the parent organization behind Vetted Care. As a former Navy SEAL and a Service-Disabled Veteran, he leads with a clear conviction: that the standards veterans uphold in service should be reflected in the institutions that serve them in return.
Under Evan’s leadership, VETTED has grown into an SDVOSB-certified federal contractor delivering across prime contracting and veteran care services. Vetted Care is the natural extension of that mission — bringing veteran-led discipline to a partnership with an established Medicare-certified hospice.
Lily Hospice will deliver the care.
When the partnership is operational, the clinical hospice work — admissions, the interdisciplinary care team, the four levels of hospice care, bereavement, billing — will be delivered by Lily Hospice. Lily Hospice is a Michigan-licensed, Medicare-certified, ACHC-accredited hospice provider. Lily Hospice is the regulated clinical operator; Vetted Care is the federal contracting and program-design partner.

The partnership is being designed to serve veterans and their families across the southeast region of Michigan, including Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties and surrounding communities — the geography Lily Hospice already serves. Today, Lily Hospice accepts patients across its existing Michigan service area; the Vetted Care veteran-focused program will operate within that footprint when launched.
